Installing a CCTV system
- Upgrade your CCTV cameras: As the quality of CCTV cameras have improved, you may want to look to upgrade your existing cameras and/or recording box (NVR). This may be a straight forward replacement to a higher definition camera or system, or you may look to increase the number of cameras, or positions you have on your system.
- Repairing faulty cameras: Your CCTV system may be able to see all, or some of your cameras, but missing the view of one or two. This could be because of one of two problems: your camera has a fault, or there is an issue with the cable. If you’re struggling to identify the issue, or can see where the issue is, Bean IT can assist you to replace and install faulty cameras on your CCTV system.
- Adding additional cameras to your existing CCTV system: You may have blindspots in your CCTV system, which may not have been an issue when you initially installed your system. An easy way to manage this is to increase the number of CCTV cameras in your system. Some systems may have the capacity to add cameras to your existing recording box (NVR), or you may need to upgrade your NVR to allow for the additional cameras required to meet your requirement for additional cameras.
- Repairing faulty cables: Over time, and through wear and tear, cables become weakened, or connections erode. Your existing cameras may all work as they need to, but the connection to your camera has interference. Your system may show your camera flashing, or unable to reach the device. Bean IT can replace your faulty cables to get your CCTV system back to working order.
- Replacing your recording box (NVR): You may have an existing system that you cannot access. An easy way to continue to use your system is replace the recording box (NVR) to your existing camera system and reconfiguring the system you already have.
- Resetting your CCTV system: Your CCTV system may have been managed by a single employee. This can be beneficial as it ensures that your GDPR is tighter and security breaches risks reduced however, without a robust second plan, you can easily lose access to your existing CCTV system. As your IT provider, we can remotely manage your CCTV system once the CCTV system has reset, to ensure you maintain access to your system, and the system can be accessed remotely should future issues arise.
- Remote management of CCTV: Gone are the days where every IT request needed to be dealt with at your premises. With remote management of your CCTV system, Bean IT can do those smaller admin roles, remotely, such as: giving access to other users; creating a username and password for new or existing users; change user passwords among other remote admin requests.
- Connecting your CCTV to your network infrastructure: by adding your CCTV system to your existing IT network, we can add users to remotely access your CCTV and you can access the CCTV remotely through an app, without the need to be in the office.
Adding additional persons of authority to your current CCTV system: As your business grows, you will likely increase the number of people you’d like to authorise access to your CCTV system. Through the system admin, Bean IT can add additional users to be able to access your CCTV system. This can be done through the remote management of CCTV.
